Azrisalam S. Magomnang

Program Officer

In her role as Program Officer, Azrisalam “Azri” Magomnang is a champion for community organization and sustainable change. She is passionate about her work in community development, and is a strong advocate for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE). She honors the philosophy that “development is the new name for peace, a long lasting peace.” 

Prior to joining IMPL. PROJECT Philippines, Azri was an AusAid In-Country Scholarship Awards Scholar and intern for both the USAID PRIDE Programme and British Council PBSP Programme. She has extensive experience in field research, data collection, project implementation and monitoring in the areas around Lanao Del Sur and Lanao Del Norte, Luzon, and Mindanao.

Azri earned a B.A. in Sociology from Mindanao State University – Marawi and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development Studies from MSU – Iligan Institute of Technology. She is currently working towards a Doctorate in Sustainable Development Studies, specializing in Community Development.
