Taharudin Ampatuan

IMPL. PROJECT Board of Directors

Taharudin Piang Ampatuan has worked in the security sector for more than thirty years, primarily in civil relations, peace building, peace keeping, and peace advocacy.

Taharudin’s most significant accomplishment is having spent a lifetime working to build peaceful communities in the Southern Philippines. It was here that he crossed paths with IMPL. PROJECT and discovered they had a common interest in alleviating poverty and establishing productive, peaceful, law abiding communities with bonds of friendship and camaraderie.

When he was offered a position on the IMPL. PROJECT Philippines Board of Directors, he gladly accepted it without hesitation. He looks forward to doing more work in the Philippines and around the world, helping poor and marginalized people and communities gain access to opportunities and better lives.

Taharudin graduated from the Royal Military College in Duntroon, Australia in 1991. Additionally, he holds a Masters degree in National Security Administration from the National Defense College of the Philippines (2015-2016), an M.S. degree in Strategic Studies from Rajaratnan School of International studies (2007-2008), and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of the Philippines (2001).
